Lily-Rose Depp bang voor hackers. De 16-jarige dochter van acteur Johnny Depp en zangeres Vanessa Paradis vertelt in een interview met LOVE magazine dat sociale media haar eigenlijk stress geven. Ze vindt het een eng idee dat andere mensen zich voordoen als haar.
I first started using social media when I was 12 or something. Not publicly, I had private accounts. My biggest fear is people reading something or seeing something on one of those fake accounts and thinking that came out of my mouth, when it didnt.
Imago beschermen
De jonge actrice voegt er aan toe dat ze zelf sociale media gebruikt om haar imago goed te houden:
I’m very specific about what I put out on social media about myself. But thats also why I like social media, because it feels like the only thing that I have to control my own image. Everybody is going to say whatever the f*** they are going to say about me and it is like this for everybody. I would be much less stressed out without social media. I am constantly afraid of getting hacked. Its like being afraid of stepping on glass.
It is delicate being my age, and trying to do all the regular teenager stuff, and then having that in the spotlight. But I am grateful for what it brings and it is honestly a small price to pay to get to do what I want to do I am very happy about that.
Yoga Hosers
Lily-Rose treedt in de voetsporen van haar vader Johnny Depp. Ze is momenteel te zien in de horror komedie Yoga Hosers. Ook zal ze binnenkort te zien zijn in de films Planetarium en The Dancer. Ze zegt het volgend over haar acteercarrière:
I can act every single day because I love it; its just so liberating. It might be rare, but there are certain moments when you really dont feel like yourself. When you are in the character so fully, its the best feeling ever. I so love it. Even if those moments come just once a day or every other day, they are just worth it.
